Terms of use
These terms cover your use of ChainQuest, at thechainquest.com and in any app version. By using ChainQuest you agree to them. Questions: hello@thechainquest.com.
What ChainQuest is
A free, unofficial fan tracker for chain restaurant and food gas station visits. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant or brand. Brand names are used only to identify locations, and all trademarks belong to their owners. Store lists come from public sources (All The Places) and may be incomplete or out of date.
Your account
Accounts are optional. Keep access to your email, passkeys and recovery code; we can't recover an account without them. You're responsible for activity on your account.
Fair play
- Rate only places you actually visited, honestly.
- Don't create multiple identities, fake verifications, or manipulate ratings or leaderboards.
- Pick a family-friendly nickname. No hate, harassment, impersonation, or personal information about others.
- Don't attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
We may hide or remove nicknames, ratings, reports or leaderboard entries, and suspend accounts, that break these rules. You can report a player or a store's ratings with the Report button, and hide players you don't want to see.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add. You give us permission to store it and, for the public parts (nickname, counts, anonymous ratings), to show it in the app. Private data (notes, orders, photos) stays private to you.
No guarantees
ChainQuest is provided "as is" without warranties. Store information, hours, ratings and leaderboards may be wrong. Don't rely on it for anything important, and follow local laws (for example, don't use the app while driving). To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to $0, since the service is free.
Ending
You can stop using ChainQuest and delete your account at any time (how). We may change or discontinue the service.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the update.
